A Gift in Your Will: Create a Lasting Legacy

A gift in your will, also known as a bequest, is a powerful way to leave a lasting legacy and make a meaningful impact on future generations. Once your loved ones are provided for, we invite you to consider extending your commitment to children’s mental health by including Tykes & Teens in your estate plans. Your thoughtful planning can help ensure that life-saving services such as suicide prevention and children’s mental health support continue for years to come.

You can make a bequest to Tykes & Teens in several ways:

  • Specific Bequest: Leave a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of your estate’s value to Tykes & Teens in your will or living trust.
  • Residual Bequest: Designate the remaining portion of your estate to Tykes & Teens after other expenses and beneficiaries have been taken care of.
  • Contingent Bequest: Name Tykes & Teens as a contingent beneficiary, meaning we would only receive the gift if your primary beneficiaries are no longer living at the time of your passing.

To ensure that your wishes are carried out, simply provide the following sample bequest language to your estate planning attorney:

Sample Bequest Language:

“I give and bequeath to Tykes & Teens, Inc., a nonprofit organization with federal tax ID number 65-0570899 and a current mailing address of 900 SE Ocean Blvd, Building E, Suite 340, Stuart, FL 34994, the sum of $_______ [or ________% of my estate] for its general purposes.”

If you wish to support a specific program or initiative, please reach out to our Philanthropy Department at givehelp@tykesandteens.org to ensure that your gift can be used as intended and that it aligns with our ongoing needs.

By including Tykes & Teens in your estate plans, you help secure the future of critical mental health programs for children and families.  Thank you for your consideration in securing the future of Tykes & Teens.
