Janice Maier, LCSW — Director of Outpatient Services
Janice joined Tykes & Teens 24 years ago, when the agency was barely 6 months old. She was the first Office Manager, and has played an integral role in the dynamic growth of the organization. After 10 years as the Office Manager, Janice became inspired by the work she saw therapists doing for children and families, and decided to enroll in school. While working full time and raising a family, Janice obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2008, and he Master’s in 2011, both from Florida Atlantic University. Janice has played a role in starting and cultivating many of our successful programs including Youth Enrichment Services, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the Alternative to Out of School Suspension. In 2019, Janice was promoted from Senior Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor to Director of Outpatient Services. She is married to Philip, her husband of more than 30 years and has two children.
