Meet Our Team Member: Johanna Kenworthy, MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern Okeechobee School Based Program
Johanna Kenworthy, MSW, is a Tykes & Teen’ Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who works with youth in our Okeechobee school-based program.
Prior to joining the agency in 2013, Johanna was the Lead Care Coordinator for the Okeechobee County Health Department and was also previously a Targeted Case manager and BNET Alternative Services Coordinator for Helping People Succeed. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and her Masters of Social Work from Barry University.
When not serving youth in Okeechobee schools, Johanna loves spending time with family and friends. Soaking up the salt therapy at the beach is also a favorite, as well as spending time at her home in Fines Creek, North Carolina with her dogs Sailor and Gypsy Blue. Her favorite holiday is Christmas. She says their home becomes a tree farm with a themed tree in every room. Some rooms may even have more than one. Her elves, Billy and Chuck, have a grand time during their two weeks off.
When asked what she loves about her job, Johanna enthusiastically says “MY JOB! And the diversity each day brings.”
One of her favorite quotes: “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost.”
Her kiddos in school frequently hear her say “Be Yourself – everyone else is taken.”
