Welcome to Tykes & Teens’ Mental Health in the News series where our experts provide perspective on mental health and wellness issues that are making headlines. Today Tykes & Teens’ Director of School-Based Services Andrea Greenlee discusses mental health and grieving.

Throughout the pandemic, many children and youth have experienced the death of a family member or loved one, and we mourn the recent tragic loss of young girl who passed away after being hit by a car when crossing the street to get on her bus.

This episodes discusses signs of grief to look for, tips for parents and educators to support a child who is grieving, and when to seek professional help.
